Work on a huge £340 million regeneration scheme in a Derbyshire town will start early next year.
Following several years in the planning, construction work on the first building in the Chesterfield Waterside scheme is scheduled to begin in the New Year.
The development is a major mixed use scheme, set on a canal-side environment, situated on the edge of the town centre and directly adjacent to the mainline railway station.
Built across 16 hectares, the development aims to revitalise the eastern side of Chesterfield on an unprecedented scale.
The project is being delivered by Chesterfield Waterside Limited, a joint venture between Bolsterstone Group, Laver Regeneration and Chesterfield Borough Council.

The first commercial element of the scheme will be Basin Square. This will comprise a detached office building, hotel, 350 build-to-rent apartments and a multi-storey car park.
Built across seven storeys, the office element will offer 35,000 sq ft of Grade A office space.
Derby-based FHP Property Consultants, along with Knight Frank, have been appointed as letting agents for the offices, work on which will start soon.
In a statement, FHP said: “The accommodation will be finished to a Grade A specification, incorporating two passenger lifts, raised access flooring, air conditioning, LED lighting, high quality entrance foyer, showers and cycle parking facilities on-site.
“The office building provide floorplates to suit requirements from 2,500 sq ft upwards and the agents are pleased to confirm that four floors are already under offer with terms agreed, leaving up to 16,410 sq ft available.”
