Virtual tour created to show off Harborough Grow-on Centre to would-be tenants during lockdown

Over the next five years it is expected to create around 230 jobs and bring £20 million into the local economy

Harborough Grow-On Centre

Management at a new business centre for expanding companies have beaten the lockdown by offering tenants a virtual tour of what they are offering.

Harborough Grow-on Centre had planned to host a launch event in May, but that had to be postponed.

The block was built for Harborough District Council and offers office suites ranging in size from around 1,000-3,000 sq ft.

New tenants include IT firm Kryton IT Solutions, encouraged by things such as the facilities on offer and Harborough’s proximity to London on the Midland Mainline.

A spokeswoman for the centre said: “The Grow-on Centre has produced a video to provide a virtual show round and celebrate the new opportunities for businesses looking for flexible office space, or satellite premises.

“Despite the challenges of coronavirus, there are strong signs of economic regrowth in Harborough district.

“The Grow-on Centre has recently welcomed the first new tenant, Krypton IT Solutions, and with thanks to Harborough Artists Cluster, there are unique artworks displayed on internal walls throughout the building.”

The district council invested £3.6 million into the project, including £3,282,500 from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and almost £1 million from the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).
