A women's clothing firm is relocating from its base in Worcestershire to a new home in Solihull.

Underwear and apparel brand Lounge has agreed a new deal on 36,741 sq ft of space in the Connexion building on Blythe Valley Park near Birmingham Airport.

The £6 million-turnover firm, previously based in Bromsgrove, said it was planning to double in size over the coming year which had prompted the move.

The new operation will act as both a head office and distribution centre and underpin a fresh recruitment drive.

Lounge was founded three years ago by Daniel Marsden and Melanie Paradise with a budget of £1,000.

Unable to afford the minimum orders of large oversees suppliers, the founders purchased the individual parts for 100 bra sets and then sent them to a European seamstress to make.

It has harnessed the power of social media to promote its clothing ranges, amassing around one million followers, and now employs 27 staff.

Operations manager Jack Humphreys said: "Since the business started in 2016, we've rapidly grown year on year and, with the help of our great team, we plan to increase sales again to more than £10 million.
