Caribbean restaurant chain Turtle Bay is opening a second venue in Birmingham.

The company has struck a deal to launch on the ground floor of 10 Brindleyplace off Broad Street which is currently undergoing a £39.7 million renovation.

It is due to open in September and joins its sister site in John Bright Street which launched in 2014.

The 4,465 sq ft restaurant will create over 50 jobs and have space for 230 diners both indoors and in a covered external terrace.

Turtle Bay serves food such as mixed grills, roti rolls and West Indian curries and also has restaurants in Coventry, Leamington Spa and Solihull as well as sites across the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Chief financial officer Steve Robinson said: "We are very pleased to be able to offer Caribbean good times to even more people in Birmingham by opening a second site, this time in Brindleyplace.

"We'll shortly be looking to recruit highly engaged and dynamic team members in bar, floor and kitchen roles."
