Training provider opens new £4m education hub

JTL has launched a 30,000 sq ft facility in the city to train the next generation of apprentices

A training provider has opened a new-look education centre in Birmingham following a £4 million investment.

JTL will use the base in Aston Cross to deliver a variety of qualifications and apprenticeships in fields such as electrical, plumbing and heating.

Set within buildings on a two-acre site, the 30,000 sq ft centre consists of several modern classrooms and fully equipped electrical and plumbing workshops and a refectory area.

Traineeship qualifications and JTL's fire and security apprenticeship will also be available at the centre, in addition to continuing professional development courses offered by compliance and safety specialist Develop Training which was recently acquired by the JTL Group.

The Kent-based company has ten facilities across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ and this new site in Rocky Lane replaces its previous base in nearby Mill Lane which it moved to in 2013 and which has now closed.

JTL is also a training provider partner of the which works to connect apprentices with employers and is also a partner in our annual apprenticeship awards.

Lord Mayor of Birmingham Muhammad Afzal joined JTL staff to mark the official opening of the new training hub.
