Three distinct schemes up for 2022 ProCon Large Residential award

Waterside living, rural luxury and extra-care for older people are the very different contenders for the title

Wyggeston Hospital Hub and Cottages, Leicester

Urban flats, luxury homes and almshouses are the finalists in the Large Residential Scheme of the Year in the 2022 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards.

Waterside living, rural luxury and extra-care for older people are the very different contenders for the title, sponsored by Jessup Partnerships, which is one of seven in this year’s ProCon Awards.

The ProCon Awards’ overall sponsors are Unique Window Systems, Freeths and Salus Approved Inspectors. The Leicester Mercury is the Awards’ media partner.

The Large Residential Scheme of the Year finalists are:

Hornsey Rise, Wellsborough, submitted by Springbourne Homes

Nineteen luxury detached homes were created on a ten-acre rural site that was previously the setting of a care home.

Large family houses were built, and a 1930s chapel was fully restored and extended into a home. All the homes have air source heating, including underfloor on the ground floor. Each feature open plan living spaces.

A key architectural feature on the front of the houses is a significant amount of green oak. An electric car charging point was fitted as standard in the garage of each property.
