Team behind Electric Brixton in London on look-out for new venues around º£½ÇÊÓÆµ

Electric Group currently owns and runs the Electric Brixton, in south London, and SWX, in Bristol

A music venue group is on the acquisition trail.

Electric Group is looking for new city centre sites in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool, Leicester, Cardiff, Southampton and Brighton as well as further premises in London.

The business currently owns and runs the Electric Brixton, in south London, and SWX, in Nelson Street, Bristol.

A further site is due to open in Newcastle in 2021.

Electric Group was formed in 2013 as a joint venture between its chief executive Dominic Madden, and Jake Lewis of the Lewis Family, who own River Island among other business interests.

It has brought in specialist business property advisor, Christie & Co, to acquire the new sites to host live music and events.

Electric Group is looking for new city centre sites

Suitable properties could include nightclubs, theatres, performance venues, bingo halls, cinemas, churches as well as existing live music venues.

They would need to have at least 18,000-20,000 sq ft of floor area and space for around 1,200 people for live performances and around 2,000 overall.
