A new, state-of-the-art facility boasting a 220-seat lecture theatre, a ‘think lab’ study space and a data laboratory is set to become the new home of Keele University’s Business School.

The three-storey development, which is being built at the entrance to the campus, is being created by Keele to support the growth of its established programmes.

The multi-million pound Denise Coates Foundation building will be home to Keele’s accounting, business management, economics, finance, Human Resource management, international business, management and marketing students.

It will boast a lecture theatre, study space and a data lab as well as a cafe and a business lounge which will allow students to work alongside business and industry partners.

The school also has a Bloomberg Financial Market Trading suite which utilises the Bloomberg platform used by leading global investment banks across the world.

This will provide a state-of-the-art teaching and research resource for students, staff and researchers.

The building will also boast an innovation lounge

Professor Kurt Allman, director of Keele Business School, said: “The new home for Keele Business School will bring students, academics, entrepreneurs, and communities together to tackle commercial opportunities, create new business models and work on society’s most pressing challenges.

“I’m especially delighted to move into our new home during our 70th anniversary year and further strengthen Keele’s sector-leading student experience, via the provision of state-of-the-art facilities and an innovative learning and teaching environment.”
