Stone Willy's Kitchen opens in Longbridge town centre

Latest company to join regeneration of south Birmingham town centre by St Modwen

Food chain Stone Willy's Kitchen has opened the doors of its new store in town centre.

The cafe, which has has created seven new jobs, serves sandwiches, wraps and coffees during the day and pizzas for collection and delivery in the evenings and weekends.

The seven jobs have all been filled by people aged between 17 and 24 from the south Birmingham area, including a former student at nearby

The cafe's interior design has been created by the company responsible for the Wagamama and Pizza Express chains.

Kitchen manager Gynn Mahal said: "We are really excited about opening our new deli and have had great feedback so far.

"Our aim is to bring a new variety of affordable food to Longbridge town centre with the focus being on using fresh ingredients of the highest quality.

"We have spent a lot of time doing our research to make sure we get our offering just right for the local community."

Andrea Clarke, Longbridge property manager with property group which is leading the regeneration of the town, added: "We are delighted that Stone Willy's Kitchen has joined our tenant line up, boosting the independent retail offer at Longbridge.
