St. Modwen secures 10-year lease at flagship scheme in Tamworth

Euro Pool System says its volume of work has increased 'exponentially' from the recent boom in the grocery sector.

Euro Pool System has signed a deal on a 49,825 square-foot unit at St Modwen Park Tamworth.

Developer St. Modwen Industrial and Logistics has secured European supply chain specialist Euro Pool System for one of its flagship schemes.

The company has signed a deal with Euro Pool on a 49,825 square-foot unit at St Modwen Park Tamworth.

The deal with Euro Pool - Europe's leading provider of logistics services for reusable packaging in the fresh produce supply chain - is the second letting at the speculative three-unit scheme which could create up to 1,700 new jobs once complete.

It follows a move by electrical installation company SM º£½ÇÊÓƵ Ltd which relocated to a 12,000 sqft unit on the site last December.

Now only one unit from the first phase of construction remains available for occupation at the 35-acre industrial and logistics park.

Greg Titley, development director at St. Modwen Industrial and Logistics, said: "Our Tamworth scheme is proving popular with prospective occupiers, evidenced by the fact that only one of our first phase of three high-quality units remains available.

"The impact of the pandemic hasn’t wavered the levels of interest and positive conversations with the market remain ongoing. St. Modwen Park Tamworth will be a fitting home for Euro Pool System and we look forward to working in partnership with them."

Álvaro Molina, country manager at Euro Pool System, added: "Owing to the recent boom in the grocery sector, our volume of work has increased exponentially.
