Speakers unveiled for West Midlands º£½ÇÊÓÆµREiiF programme

Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, the BBC's Tom Wrathmell and urban design author David Rudlin are among the speakers announced for the West Midlands' event programme at a º£½ÇÊÓÆµ real estate conference.

The trio will join a delegation of real estate experts and local authority leaders on the West Midlands pavilion at the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ's Real Estate and Infrastructure Investment Forum (º£½ÇÊÓÆµREiiF). The three-day event in Leeds starts tomorrow.

Led by newly elected mayor Richard Parker, the West Midlands will exhibit collectively at º£½ÇÊÓÆµREiiF for the first time, showcasing more than £20 billion in opportunities from across Birmingham, Coventry and Warwickshire, Dudley, Sandwell, Solihull, Walsall and Wolverhampton.

Writer and director Steven Knight will be interviewed about his plans for a new film and TV studio in Birmingham.

Tom Wrathmell, director for across the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ strategy at the BBC, will lead a session on how the creative industry is driving broader economic growth and regeneration and David Rudlin, director of urban design at BDP, will chair a discussion about urban development outside the º£½ÇÊÓÆµ's cities.

Local authority leaders from Birmingham, Coventry and Warwickshire, and Wolverhampton will outline how they plan to deliver the new £5.5 billion West Midlands Investment Zone.

Decision makers from Sandwell, Solihull and Walsall will discuss how they are spending more than £600 million in devolved housing and land funds and speakers will also explore how sport is driving change through regeneration and social inclusion across several of its football clubs.
