Serene Furnishings expands Black Country base

Supplier takes extra space on Pensnett Estate to accommodate new range of beds it is adding to collection

A bed supplier has expanded in the Black Country for a second time in five months.

Since the beginning of the year, Serene Furnishings, based on The Hill Top Estate in West Bromwich, has taken on more than an extra 70 per cent of space.

after asking the estate's owner London & Cambridge Properties to find it extra space to accommodate a new range of products it was planning to launch.

Now the firm, which has been at Hill Top since 2008 and supplies more than 700 retailers across the 海角视频, has signed a 12-month lease for buildings 67 and 68 at The Pensnett Estate in Kingswinford.

The 53,309 sq ft of warehouse space will be used to house its new collections.

Nadirah Habib, director, said it was an exciting time for the firm, which she runs with husband Tasleem Tasab.

It needs the extra space to cope with expected demand for a new range of products that it is to unveil at the flagship Furniture Show at the NEC in January 2015.

"We are anticipating incredible interest in our new ranges so need the extra space again to store the products," she said.
