Housebuilder and group Seddon has appointed a new regional director for the Midlands.
Eamonn Burns will lead the company's expansion in the region, where it has offices in Birmingham and Stoke, with the aim of growing turnover from £60 million to £100 million over the next five years.
He will work alongside regional manager Ian Calder who was appointed by Seddon to head up new-build housing and refurbishment in the Midlands in 2012.

In his former role as operations director at Wilmott Dixon, Mr Burns was responsible for the growth of the company's Birmingham housing unit into a business with a turnover of more than £55 million.
His appointment comes shortly after the company was named on a £875 million Education Funding Agency (EFA) framework to build and refurbish schools in the West Midlands, which will allow Seddon to bid for projects worth up to £10 million over the next four years.

The company's appointment to the framework follows the completion of a number of school projects in the region including the construction of three new schools as part of Staffordshire County Council's plans to create an extra 1,000 school places in Burton-on-Trent over the next decade.
