A Japanese digital firm has become the first to agree a deal for space in a renovated office block in Birmingham city centre.
Ricoh Digital Services has taken 3,561 sq ft at the canalside Rum Runner Works complex in Regency Wharf, off Broad Street.
The digital arm of the Japanese imaging and electronics giant has agreed a five-year lease on part of the ground floor.
The company is moving from 54 Hagley Road to its new home overlooking the city's historic Gas Street Basin.
Rum Runner Works comprises 16,000 sq ft of offices and opened in late 2021 following a £2 million renovation programme by landlord Picton, having previously been a Jimmy Spices restaurant.

The work included restoring the frontage of the two-storey building, creating grade A office space, new bicycle storage and changing facilities and private terraces overlooking the canal basin.
The building is best known as the former nightclub of the same name which provided a launchpad for bands such as Duran Duran, Dexys Midnight Runners and UB40. It began life in the 1800s as a glassworks.
The Birmingham office of property agency CBRE advised Picton on the deal.
Theo Holmes, who heads the office agency team at CBRE, said: "Picton has invested £2 million to reimagine Rum Runner Works, producing a truly special workspace environment to match its colourful history.
"Ricoh is the first occupier at the building. They were won over by the fabulous canalside location and views of Gas Street Basin.
"We have strong interest in the remaining space."
Savills is joint letting agency with CBRE while Ricoh was advised by property consultancy Bossington Partners.
