Road Haulage Association announces new North West site at £4.5bn Wirral Waters development

Deal agreed for new Merseyside office

The Road Haulage Association is moving to Wirral Waters' Tower Quays

The Road Haulage Association is to open a new site in the North West, taking office space at a £4.5bn Merseyside development scheme.

The body, the º£½ÇÊÓƵ's sole trade association for transport operations, has announced it is taking office space at the Tower Quays complex at Wirral Waters, following an agreement with the owner and developer, Peel L&P.

The move comes during a time of "rapid development" at Wirral Waters.

In December, construction started on a new office project called Hythe, and in February, improvement works on Tower Road completed with the installation of a new streetscape hoped to give more space to pedestrians and cyclists.

Richard Burnett, chief executive of the RHA, said: “It’s fantastic to be moving into our new Birkenhead Custom Brokerage office and to be working with Peel L&P, Mersey Maritime and many other businesses so close to the water in such an excellent location.

“These offices will provide great connectivity to local businesses on the Wirral, as well as providing valuable links with the wider Liverpool City Region and the North West.”

The new office adds to the association's other offices in London, West Yorkshire, Scotland and its HQ in Peterbrorough.

Tower Quays forms part of the Four Bridges neighbourhood at Wirral Waters - said to be one of the most strategically connected office developments on the Wirral.
