A city music studio which has played host to bands such as Black Sabbath and ELO has revealed the location of its new home.

Rich Bitch Studios was based at 495-505 Bristol Road, in Selly Oak, but the building is now being demolished to make way for a 267-bedroom student accommodation development.

Studio founder and owner Rob Bruce posted a message on its official website, saying it had found a new home in Kings Norton.

"I handed the keys over about 3 weeks ago so if you go past the studios you will now see that it is slowly being demolished," it said.

"There have been many delays with the Heeley Road site - its seems like they would not want a studio in that area so we have now found a nice site that we were very interested in.

"It is based at the Kings Norton Business Centre and we are currently going through the legalities and planning permission stages.

"We are now pushing forward to put things in place within ten weeks as long as there are no more hold ups.

"I am in the process of designing the rooms and getting the equipment sorted - so these are busy yet exciting times."
