Regus signs deal for former Carillion head office

A franchisee of the serviced office provider has agreed a deal for two floors of the building in Wolverhampton city centre

Regus has agreed a deal for its first base in Wolverhampton in the former Carillion HQ

Serviced office provider Regus has secured its first premises in Wolverhampton in the former headquarters of construction giant Carillion.

Regus franchisee AB Offices has taken a ten-year lease on 13,050 sq ft of space over two floors at 84 Salop Street in the city centre.

The five-storey building was originally constructed in 1977 as the headquarters for the Staffordshire Building Society.

The premises were sold two years ago to London-based Gupta Group following the collapse of construction and infrastructure services giant Carillion in January 2018.

Property consultancies Knight Frank and Bulleys secured the letting on behalf of the landlord.

Will Higgins, from Knight Frank’s Midlands offices agency team, said: “This is a really positive statement for Wolverhampton.

“We anticipate there will be a growing requirement for flexible office space for start-ups and entrepreneurs in the post covid-19 era.
