Property regeneration consultancy AspinallVerdi is opening an office in Cambridgeshire as it bids to grow further in the region after making a key hire.

AspinallVerdi has appointed Mathew Forster as Head of º£½ÇÊÓƵ Land and Development Agency. Mr Forster, who has more than 30 years experience in the property sector, will focus on growing the development agency business for the firm with public and private sector clients nationally.

As well as establishing a Cambridgeshire office, he will work across the company's offices in Leeds, London, Newcastle, Liverpool and Birmingham.

AspinallVerdi is already active in the East of England, working with clients including Cambridge City Council and South Cambridgeshire District Council, on viability testing of the North East Cambridgeshire Area Action Plan. It is also working on a masterplan for Lowestoft Town Centre on behalf of East Suffolk District Council.

Mr Forster previously held senior roles as head of strategic land, Central and Eastern Counties with Allison Homes. He was also partner and head of residential development for the Eastern region at Carter Jonas LLP, and has also worked with Strutt & Parker and Spicerhaart Group.

Atam Verdi, chairman and co-founder of Leeds-headquartered AspinallVerdi, said: “Mathew brings with him an invaluable amount of experience to allow us to continue to deliver our best-in-class service. Although AspinallVerdi has always provided agency services to clients, Mathew’s appointment means we can further grow this service line for them. With a mature network of contacts in the East of England, Mathew will also assist us with increasing our client base in this region.â€
