Refurbished office block to open at Royal Albert Dock after 19th Century warehouse restored

Edward Pavilion will span 70,000sq ft and is now available for businesses looking to relocate

Office space spanning 70,000sq ft is to open at Liverpool's iconic Royal Albert Dock later this week.

The Grade I-listed Edward Pavilion, which dates back to the 19th Century, has been restored to make the most of the warehouse's original features, and a grand official opening event will be held there on Thursday.

According to the developer, it will offer businesses spacious, state-of-the-art, "sympathetically restored" office space, with barrel-vaulted ceilings, exposed brickwork, raised floor and cast iron columns that give the space "incredible character".

The developer in question is Castleforge Partners, who acquired the site in December 2017 before setting about creating a contemporary design.

The firm's Rachael Pittaway said: “The redevelopment of Edward Pavilion has been an incredibly exciting project. We have keen to build upon the original structure and features the building boasts in order to create a unique environment that people are proud to work from.

“Since announcing our plans, we have been inundated with interest and so we expect space to be snapped up quickly, therefore, we encourage anyone looking to start their business journey, or to relocate to bigger space, to contact the team to find out more.”

Castleforge says the space also includes breakout areas, meeting rooms, event space, an on-site cafe, bike storage, showers and a manned reception, and businesses can lease between 2,000 and 35,000 sq ft.
