ProCon Leicestershire Awards publishes video of previous winners after pandemic forces 2020 postponement

Annual property & construction ceremony was due to take place today and welcome 620 finalists, sponsors and guests

Past ProCon winners

The organisers of the ProCon Leicestershire Awards have published a quickfire video of all the previous winners to co-incide with what should have been the 2020 ceremony.

This year’s property and construction awards had to be postponed because of the pandemic, so the 2021 awards will cover a bumper two year period.

The annual ceremony was due to welcome 620 finalists, sponsors and guests from property and construction.

Instead a video of past winners of the awards for new buildings and construction projects in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland, has been produced, tracing the awards back to 2003.

Over the years there have been more than 100 awards presented, in categories including residential, regeneration, infrastructure and sustainability.

Projects in Leicester won almost half of the awards, with Loughborough picking up six. Hinckley, Market Harborough and Coalville securing two each and Melton providing a single winner.

Almost a quarter of the winning projects were in education, including universities, colleges and schools.

Leisure destinations scored well and the boom in student accommodation saw four awards won from 2013 to 2018.
