High street fashion giant Primark is due to open its new town centre store in August following the completion of a £7.8 million development.
The Walsall Council-funded 'Old Square' development has seen more than two years of construction work to regenerate one of the town's run-down retail areas.
Development of the new Primark and Midcounties Co-op food store was overseen by property consultancy Pick Everard which provided project management, quantity surveying and health and safety advice.

The development will see the creation of 150 new jobs.
Alastair Hamilton, partner at Pick Everard, said: "We worked closely with the council to configure an approach to help regenerate and transform the town centre.
"This new scheme will help to attract major retailers to Walsall, creating a thriving hub in the centre.
"Already, the improvements made to the shopping centre have created a 20 per cent increase in footfall.
"By acting now, the council is investing in Walsall's future employment opportunities and securing its place in the West Midlands as a great place for major retailers to come to."

The development saw the partial demolition of the former Tesco store and the re-location of the market.
Simon Neilson, executive director for economy and environment at Walsall Council, added: "The development has been funded by the council's cash reserves and will have a very positive impact on people in the local community - boosting the economy through the direct creation of jobs and acting as a catalyst for further investment and jobs in the town centre."
