Plastic and building products supplier Northern Building Plastics creating 40 jobs into Hinckley

Northern Building Plastics has taken this unit at Lime Kilns Business Park in Hinckley

A company which supplies of uPVC plastics and building products has taken a unit on a business park in west Leicestershire.

Trade supplier Northern Building Plastics has taken a 10-year lease at Lime Kilns Business Park in Hinckley, where it expects to create 40 new jobs.

The business supplies products such as drainage parts, windows, doors, insulation, cladding and composite decking to trade customers and will use the unit to add a new trade counter and for storage and distribution.

The 27,030 sq ft unit has been let by mid-box industrial and warehouse developer Tungsten Properties, with the business park funded by Urban Logistics REIT

Northern Building Plastics, which is headquartered in Leeds and has another depot in Bolton, is building its depot network to grow its next day delivery service.

Its chief executive, Judah Wilson, said: “Hinckley is a fantastic location for our latest depot, ideally located with excellent access to road networks.

“It will provide local customers with easy access to a huge range of stock at our trade counter and enables us to significantly increase our nationwide next day delivery service.

“The depot will be open in October 2021 and when fully operational, will create more than 40 new jobs across a range of roles including drivers, warehousing and sales.”
