An application to turn a listed building in Belfast city centre into an apartment block has been submitted.
The plans would see Marlborough House on Victoria Street partially demolished and refurbished, for the redevelopment of around 120 apartments complete with private open space, landscaping, and public realm improvements.
Martin Property Group has made the first step in the planning process by submitting a Proposal of Application Notice to Belfast City Council.
A public consultation is due to take place in October to gather the views of local residents, neighbouring businesses, and interested parties.
A pre-application community consultation process is being carried out by Martin Property Group for their proposals for a mix of studio, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments.
Until last December, Marlborough House housed the offices for commercial law firm, Tughan's. It is located in Belfast city centre close to Custom House Square.
A drop-in consultation event will be held in The Good Room at Bullitt Hotel from 1pm to 7pm on Thursday, October 5, where consultants will be on hand to provide further information and answer any queries.
As well as this, a virtual consultation will be hosted online from Monday, October 2, until Friday, October 20, which will display the same information as is on display at the drop-in event.
