The in Birmingham is now open and it won't be long before the rest of the revamped is welcoming in shoppers.

It has been partially shut since mid-2013 when new owners Brockton Capital and Milligan, which paid £127.1 million for the mixed-use complex in 2011, confirmed on giving it a much-needed facelift.

But was planned, The Mailbox was a vacant former sorting office doing very little indeed.

Birmingham developers Alan Chatham and Mark Billingham acquired the building for £4 million in the late 1990s and set about transforming the city's retail scene, launching the new-look complex in 2000.
