Another flexible office provider has announced plans to open its first base in Birmingham, joining a rapidly growing sector in the city.

Cubo has signed a deal to launch the facility in Two Chamberlain Square at the £700 million Paradise development.

The company has taken a 12.5-year lease for the whole of the fourth floor where it will operate a 24,000 sq ft space dedicated to nurturing and supporting local SMEs.

Due to open in May, it will have a range of space including co-working and dedicated offices and the company said it had already registered interest in more than half of the space.

This is the fifth site opened by the company, which launched in 2020, joining bases in Nottingham, Leeds, Sheffield and Derby where it is also headquartered.

Cubo is the latest flexible office space provider to announce plans for new facilities in Birmingham.

London-based x+why has signed deals for both 103 Colmore Row and 6 Brindleyplace, The Jointworks is due to open in the Jewellery Quarter soon in a converted watch parts factory and Spaces is currently converting the ground floor of the Mailbox into a major new hub.
