Overbury wins another fit-out brief on £700m Paradise scheme

Firm is working on a second project at new office block in Birmingham city centre

Overbury will fit out the new offices of DLA Piper at Two Chamberlain Square in Birmingham

Overbury has won a £4.7 million contract to fit out the new Birmingham office of law firm DLA Piper.

The practice is relocating a short distance from its existing base in Victoria House to a new home in Two Chamberlain Square at the £700 million Paradise development.

Overbury will work alongside architecture practice TP Bennett and property and construction consultancy Ridge to deliver the 40,000 sq ft fit out across the sixth and seventh floors of the new building.

The offices will have a staff lounge, kitchen, boardroom and several seminar and meeting rooms which will be fitted with ‘Skyfold' walls which can be raised or dropped from the ceiling to provide spaces with flexible sizes.

DLA's offices will also connect to a new roof-top terrace overlooking Chamberlain Square and the city council building.

This is the second win for Overbury after it was appointed in November by financial services firm Mazars to fit out its new space on the first floor of the same building.

Andrew Wood, managing director of Overbury's team in Birmingham, said: "Two Chamberlain Square is a landmark building which will become one of the premier business addresses within Birmingham.
