One Eastside tops out

Construction of new apartment block has reached its highest point as Birmingham's new tallest building take shape

The One Eastside apartment tower in Birmingham has topped out

Construction of what is Birmingham's tallest building has reached its highest point.

One Eastside will contain 667 apartments to rent across two blocks of 16 and 51 storeys respectively.

Other amenities include co-working spaces, a cinema room, sky lounge and gym.

At 509 feet, the larger tower will take the honour of being Birmingham's tallest building, an honour by the BT Tower in the Jewellery Quarter ever since it was completed in 1966.

One Eastside is being delivered by Birmingham-based developer Court Collaboration in partnership with Pension Insurance Corporation.

The backer forward funded the £200 million development and will own it for the long term following its completion next year.

A topping out ceremony was held by partners of the project.
