One of Derby’s most recognisable office blocks has been given a new paint job as part of a major overhaul of the building.

Cardinal Square, in Nottingham Road, has changed from its distinctive blue colour to a gun metal grey.

The building, which is visible , is a familiar landmark in the city. But it has changed colour as part of a major refurbishment of the property.

Cardinal Square is owned by Nurton Developments. Since acquiring the 113,000 sq ft building, the firm has been investing heavily in updating the property, both inside and out, to create high quality office space, services and facilities.

The building itself is set around a central quadrant and comprises of four inter-connecting blocks, each arranged on four and five floors, which are available on a floor-by-floor or single office basis.

The ground floor of the building’s West Point has recently been the subject of a refurbishment programme to create the Cardinal Business Centre, which comprises 4,500 sq ft of serviced office accommodation.

Following the successful letting of the first phase, a further 4,500 sq ft of serviced office accommodation has now been created.

The investment in the building appears to be reaping dividends for Nurton.
