North Wales quay part of major marina deal - with investment set to be pumped into site

Conwy is part of the new venture that will create one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s largest national coastal marina businesses

A North Wales marina is part of a major merger deal to create one of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ’s largest national coastal marina businesses.

Dean & Reddyhoff and Quay Marinas announced that they have signed contracts to merge their ventures.

The deal - which includes Conwy Marina - is expected to complete in the next three months and will give the merged business 11 marinas, 4,000 berths and 150 staff.

As part of the deal, which was signed on 29 May 2019 for an undisclosed sum, there is a planned £10 million investment programme over the next five years.

Conwy Marina

Simon Haigh, managing director of Quay Marinas, said: “We are all looking forward to a busy boating season.

"We are confident that our visitors and berth holders can look forward to us making it even easier for them to spend time out on the water.”

Current berth holders will benefit straight away with berth swaps between the marinas and free nights for those cruising between destinations.

From Autumn 2019 the two companies will have completed the merger and will be owned and operate all the marinas under one brand.
