Called 'Site Selection WM', it is an investment platform targeting the national and global developer community and has been launched today at annual property conference º£½ÇÊÓƵREiiF in Leeds.

The website maps more than 60 of the region's most significant development and occupier sites using data such as the status of a planning application, land use, investment type and local amenities and transport.

Among the sites to feature are the region's two HS2 stations, Smithfield in Birmingham city centre and the planned transformation of West Bromwich town centre.

The launch comes ahead of the West Midlands Local Growth Plan which is due to be unveiled in June which will include a new spatial development strategy.

West Midlands Mayor Richard Parker said: "Showcasing over 1,500 acres of regeneration opportunities, Site Selection WM effectively captures the enormous scale of West Midlands ambition.

"By offering a more innovative and transparent way to explore a range of development sites, it marks a step change in how the region engages the global investor community.
