Two colleagues who left their jobs to set up their own recruitment company are preparing for growth – after moving into a bigger office and taking on their first employee.

Steve Dufresne and Lee Quoroll set up Logic Resourcing in 2018 after toying with the idea for more than five years.

The company started out from an office at the Burslem Enterprise Centre, in Stoke-on-Trent, but now they have relocated to a bigger base inside Stoke’s Federation House.

And in the next 12 months, the business – which will welcome its first employee next month – has ambitions to grow its headcount and achieve a turnover of £250,000.

Thirty seven-year-old Steve said: “We had been talking about setting up our own recruitment business for about five years and last year was the right time for us, we both had young children but were travelling a lot because our jobs required us to stay away from home. So we just went for it.

“It was difficult and we met some challenges that we hadn’t thought about but we are good recruiters, we know how to fill vacancies and clients that we have worked with over the years have been receptive to giving us a go.”

Lee, aged 36, said: “We have built up a good reputation over the years which means we are able to take a partnership approach to recruitment and that is part of the reason for our success.”

Logic Resourcing is a recruitment agency which specialises in business development, HR and people and office support roles across every sector.
