The owners of viral cleaning brand The Pink Stuff is moving into new headquarters in Leeds.
Laundry and household cleaning products manufacturer Star Brands will double its office space at Thorpe Park business park, near Leeds, when it expands into 4,295 sq ft of office space at 3125 Century Way. The group is relocating from nearby 1175 Century Way in the office, retail and leisure park.
Star Brands' move comes four months after it was announced that the group was to be snapped up by a multibillion-dollar New York listed global group. The firm behind Pink Stuff Miracle cleaning paste and sprays is being acquired by RPM International Inc, a NYSE-listed company with global sales exceeding $7bn.
The letting comes after 3125 Century Way underwent a £750,000 refurbishment of its reception, office space and other facilities. Letting agent Knight Frank also recently struck a deal which will see Renew Holdings take 7,427 sq ft of space in the building on a 10-year lease.
Elizabeth Ridler, office agency partner with global property consultancy Knight Frank in Leeds, said: “These two significant deals underline the continuing popularity of Thorpe Park and are a ringing endorsement of the standard of the best-in-class office buildings at the park.
“It is important to stress that the drive for quality workspace at Thorpe Park, post-Covid, ensured that Star Brands could relocate to a splendid newly refurbished office suite and benefit from the new showers and amenities provided.”

Tim North, joint managing director of Star Brands, said: “The business has expanded significantly over the last five years and, consequently, we needed to double our office space, but equally we wanted to stay in a similar Thorpe Park location.”
Knight Frank’s Building Consultancy team, led by James Green, project-managed the transformation of the facilities at 3125 Century Way. The project also included the creation of modern shower amenities.
Ms Ridler said: “Only the ground floor, which can be split, remains available to lease, with flexible lettings from 4,000-7,340 sq ft. In the wake of this letting, rents will now be £25.50 per sq ft. A huge buzz surrounds this hugely successful business park, which goes from strength to strength and is without doubt the go to location for out-of-town occupiers due to the strategic location, calibre of existing occupiers and the plethora of on-site amenities.
“Thorpe Park provides excellent facilities to support the well-being of staff, whilst benefitting from a superb strategic location, just off Junction 46 of the M1 and close to the A1 and M62. The quality of the accommodation is also first class as are the neighbouring amenities”.
Thorpe Park has already attracted occupiers such as Lowell Financial, the Scarborough Group, Wates, Bellway and Age Partnership. The Leeds office of JLL are the joint letting agents with Knight Frank.
