More than a dozen jobs have been brought to Derby after a specialist flooring firm agreed a deal to relocate to the city.

Advance Resin Technologies (International) has moved from Borrowash to premises in Royal Scot Road, on Derby’s Pride Park.

The firm, which specialises in the installation of high-quality epoxy resin and polyurethane flooring systems, employs 15 people and has moved after outgrowing its previous base.

The company has a burgeoning order book for its flooring services and solutions, which are used across a variety of industries including food production, health and car showrooms. Its expert teams also install high-quality drives at private homes.

It has leased a unit previously occupied by MRX Technologies, which vacated on March 31 after exercising an option to break their lease.

Managing director Michael Rudkin, said: “We needed enough space to expand because of a very encouraging order book, including companies overseas.

“We have 15 staff currently but are looking to bring in more once the coronavirus lockdown is lifted.

Hugo Beresford, a surveyor at Salloway Property Consultants, who secured the deal, said: “It was excellent to get such a quick result for Michael and his team on behalf of a private landlord client.
