New images show Phoenix House rising again

Colmore Business District building undergoing major revamp to create grade A office space and cycle hub

New images have been released showing how a Birmingham office complex will look once a programme of renovation has been completed.

The former Phoenix House, in Newhall Street, is currently undergoing a major revamp to create badly needed new grade A office space in the heart of the

Contractors have stripped back the building, which will be renamed 1 Newhall Street, to its frame in readiness to reclad and extend the floorplates.

Two new CGIs (above and below) have been released showing how the new reception area and exterior in Newhall Street will look.

There will also be parking and a cycle hub with changing facilities while former ground floor tenant Yorks Bakery Cafe has agreed a deal to return to the building, most likely early next year.

Work on the nine-storey building is being undertaken by the Ardstone º£½ÇÊÓÆµ which is funded by clients of CBRE GIP.

Head of asset management at Ardstone Capital Michael Cecil said: "We are extending the building to provide continuous floorplates of just over 6,000 sq ft.

"The new glass façade will provide an abundance of natural light.
