“I am very proud to take on this role and am excited to see where 2014 takes the practice,” he said.
“With confidence returning to the construction industry I hope that many interesting potential projects will present themselves this year.”
Mr Perry, who has been with the practice for eight years, has established a strong base in the education sector, successfully delivering a number of schools for local authorities.
He is currently working on a series of school expansions for Coventry City Council, the new University Training School at the University of Birmingham and a performance venue at an independent school.
Managing director Ian Standing said of the appointment: “Richard leads a fantastic team and has a wealth of practical experience, we’re glad to welcome him as one of the five directors.”
The appointment comes after a strong year for the practice, which secured a number of significant contract wins in 2013.
