New Birmingham HQ for PPE supplier Beeswift

Manufacturer and wholesaler of protective clothing and equipment is leaving the Black Country for a new home in Birmingham

Beeswift is moving to a new base at Hub 120 in Birmingham

A company which makes protective clothing and equipment is relocating to a major new operation in Birmingham.

Beeswift, which is headquartered in West Bromwich, has agreed a 16-year lease deal on a 120,000 sq ft logistics warehouse at Hub 120 in Witton.

The company is a manufacturer and wholesaler of protective clothing and equipment encompassing a wide range of workwear and safety and medical products and supplies both public sector and commercial clients.

It is also working with the NHS and local authorities as a designated key supplier during the coronavirus crisis.

The facility, next to the new Birmingham Wholesale Markets, will also act as a corporate headquarters and national distribution centre as part of the company's ongoing expansion plans.

Its plants at Delta Point in West Bromwich will close following completion of the move.

Beeswift's chief executive Les Giles said: "Having successfully moved our Dutch company into a 40,000 sq ft of modern distribution facility a week before lockdown in February, we are now totally focused on this seven-month project to relocate Beeswift to its new corporate HQ and distribution centre.
