More than 120 jobs could be created at £5.5 million Leicestershire business park

Apollo Business Park, which is going up in Vulcan Way, Coalville, should be ready for its first tenants in August

The Apollo Business Park in Coalville is taking shape

More than 120 jobs could be created when a £5.5 million business park opens its doors in north west Leicestershire this summer.

Apollo Business Park, which is going up in Vulcan Way, Coalville, should be ready for its first tenants in August.

Construction company Willmott Dixon has completed the steel frames for the industrial units, which range in size from 1,000 to 9,000 sq ft.

When it is finished the four industrial/warehouse buildings, which can be sub-divided to create up to 17 individual units, will provide space for start-ups and firms looking to expand.

The site is 4 miles from junction 22 of the M1 and 9 miles from East Midlands Airport.

The Leicestershire County Council-backed site has been part-funded with £2.4 million from the Local Growth Fund allocated by the Leicester and Leicestershire Enterprise Partnership (LLEP).

It is part of the LLEP’s long-term plan to create 45,000 extra jobs, halve unemployment in the county, help 15,000 businesses expand and support 1,000 start-ups.

Coalville is earmarked as a priority area.
