Management at a Midlands construction company say they have grown the business 25-fold in just three years on the back of a growing reputation within the region.

The team at QDTS Construction, which is based in Hinckley, south Leicestershire, said turnover has grown from £550,000 to £14 million since 2017.

Founder and managing director Terry Benson said from starting with just one member of staff back in July 2014, he had grown it to a workforce of 22.

QDTS now operates as a main contractor on new build projects ranging from housing and city centre apartments to commercial developments and residential care homes.

It has worked on projects in both the East and West Midlands and is now looking at schemes in other areas of the º£½ÇÊÓƵ.

Individual schemes it has worked on include the Emporium project, in Bartholomew Row, Birmingham, where the team was brought in after the collapse of its original contractor, Shaylor.

The listed building was granted approval to be restored and saved from demolishment, so that it could be turned it into high spec student accommodation.

The business also worked on a £4.25 million redevelopment scheme in Tamworth Street, Lichfield, to create new housing.
