A property consultancy has boosted its senior team as it targets new markets in Birmingham and the West Midlands.

Matthews & Goodman, which has offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds and and London, has appointed Bev Robinson as a partner to lead its new operation in the region.

Ms Robinson has a broad range of industry experience which includes expert witness, valuation surveying and property receivership in fields such as retail, office and leisure property.

Prior to joining Matthews & Goodman, she was a member partner of Scanlans Consultant Surveyors and also worked for Henry Butcher Surveyors and the British Rail Property Board.

Matthews & Goodman was founded more than 150 years ago and currently employs almost 100 people across its four bases, with plans to open a new office in Birmingham in the near future.

She said: "Having worked in the Birmingham area for over 30 years, I feel confident that together we will build a successful business based on providing clients with high-value professional advice, underpinned by diligent implementation."

Partner James Routledge added: "Bev's appointment marks an important milestone in the firm's history.

"Bev will add senior level capability and regional knowledge to our national valuation, as well as other professional teams, and help leverage further growth in these areas."
