US manufacturer expands Black Country base

Atkore has taken on new £5m speculative warehouse

A US manufacturer is expanding its base in the Black Country. Atkore has signed a ten-year lease for a 45,000 sq ft industrial unit at Delta Point park in West Bromwich, growing its existing presence on the estate.

The Illinois-based company specialises in the manufacture of electrical conduits and fittings, cables, cable management systems and security products.

Atkore is set to move into the £5 million warehousing and logistics hub imminently.

Development of the new unit on the 325,000 sq ft estate in Greets Green Road was led by London-based landlord Topland and built by contractor EG Carter.

William Davies, director in the asset management team at Topland, said: "This latest development at Delta Point represents a great example of Topland investing in its holdings to add value.

"In place of an obsolete 1960s office block, we have created an excellent new industrial facility that further strengthens our relationship with Atkore and significantly enhances the profile of the whole estate."
