The company invested more than £3 million developing its new headquarters

Underwear brand Lounge is set to unveil its new £3 million global headquarters at the weekend.

The retailer has spent more than six months fitting out its new 54,000 sq ft HQ, after agreeing a deal for the Blythe Gate building at Blythe Valley Park in Solihull at the start of the year.

The building can house more than 500 employees and boasts a film club, a fully-equipped gym, a cafe and wellness rooms. It has been developed in partnership with Office Principles.

The official grand opening is taking place tomorrow (June 12).

Lounge Underwear has invested more than £3 million in its new headquarters

Lounge co-founder and CEO Daniel Marsden, who founded Lounge Underwear with Melanie Marsden in 2016, said: "Operation Sunnyside was a seriously ambitious project to take on in a very uncertain time, but we've invested now to secure Lounge’s future, our growth and everyone that works here.

"It's honestly mind blowing to think that pre-lockdown we were sitting on circa 30 Loungers."

In 2020, Lounge Underwear doubled its employee headcount and saw revenue jump more than 300 per cent to £50 million as a result of the surge in online shopping and the increase in demand for lounge wear.

By 2022, the company hopes to double its headcount again.
