The team at a chartered surveyors and land experts say they have had a busy 2019 across the East Midlands when it comes to residential development land sales – particularly with small to mid-sized sites.

Loughborough-based land specialists Mather Jamie has completed sales of three such sites in the past 12 months, with several others currently under contract.

The first was a 1.4 acre site off Main Road in the popular Derbyshire Dales village of Brailsford, which included outline planning consent for 13 homes, alongside affordable housing and open space contributions.

June saw the sale of Easthorpe Lodge and 6.25 acres of land, situated off the A52 between Nottingham and Grantham.

It was sold to Gusto Homes through Mather Jamie.

The sale marked the first stage in the redevelopment of the land, which had two joint planning approvals to provide 27 new homes.

In September, the firm oversaw the sale of a 6.15 acre site in the village of Asfordby, three miles to the west of Melton Mowbray, to Deeley Homes.

The land has planning permission for 55 new properties, of which 20 will be open market sale, 25 will be shared ownership and 10 will be affordable homes provided in collaboration with EMH Homes.
