Liverpool city centre budget hotel handed £5m price tag

The building was originally constructed in the late 1830s for the Royal Bank

Inside the budget Tune Hotel in Liverpool

A budget hotel in the centre of Liverpool has been put up for sale with a price tag of £5m.

Savills is marketing Tune Hotel in Castle Street, near Liverpool Town Hall.

The three-star hotel has 100 en-suite bedrooms, an lobby and reception area over a ground and four upper floors.

The building was originally constructed in the late 1830s for the Royal Bank and is Grade II listed.

It also includes a retail unit next door which is currently let to Greggs.

When it was opened in 2015, the hotel was the eighth site for the budget chain, but the first in the North West.

A statement by Savills posted on the Rightmove listing said: "Tune Hotel is an attractive building situated on the popular Castle Street in the heart of Liverpool city centre.
