The Legal Ombudsman is halving its office space in Birmingham after

The watchdog has taken 21,000 sq ft at Quay Place's Edward House, close to the National Indoor Arena, on a ten-year lease.

It currently occupies 41,000 sq ft at Baskerville House, in Broad Street, and this latest letting means Edward House is now fully occupied.

The first Legal Ombudsman for England Wales was established under the Legal Services Act 2007 and employing more 350 staff and analysts.

Its move was which closed its bases in Redditch and Leamington Spa and combined them into one site in The Cube.

Working on the letting were property agencies and for landlord Threadneedle Investments, while represented the Legal Ombudsman.

Kelvin Craddock from JLL said: "Quay Place is becoming an increasingly popular location for occupiers, attracted by a wide variety of floor plate sizes and the pleasant secure working environment on offer.

"With a rise in market activity across the city, occupiers are finding it increasingly difficult to identify competitively priced refurbished accommodation, which is evident by the interest currently being witnessed at Quay Place."
