Leasing deals for Birmingham city centre office block

Recruitment firm and property developer sign up to take new space at 1 Newhall Street

Two lease deals have been signed at 1 Newhall Street

A brace of leasing deals have been secured at a Birmingham city centre office building.

Recruitment agency Mitchell Adam is relocating to 1 Newhall Street from its current home in the Exchange Building on a ten-year lease.

Property developer and investor Godwin Group, which took occupation of the building's eighth floor last year, has committed to an additional 2,690 sq ft on the seventh floor.

The company has extended its lease across both floors for a further ten years.

Joint letting agencies for 1 Newhall Street are Avison Young and Savills.

George Jennings, a director in the national offices team at Avison Young in Birmingham, said: "Transactional activity in Birmingham's office sector continues to deliver strong results, particularly from companies looking to upgrade their space."

Following its acquisition by Ardstone Capital in 2014, 1 Newhall Street has undergone a refurbishment programme.
