Law firm Clarke Willmott has announced plans to relocate its 300-strong workforce in Bristol to a new head office in the city.

The company said the move would support its long-term commitment to hybrid working for staff, as well as broader environmental and sustainability goals.

The firm will move from its current office on Bath Street in the spring of 2023 to take up the top two floors of Assembly C - a new 11-storey Grade A office being developed in central Bristol, close to the city’s historic harbourside.

Stephen Rosser, chief executive of Clarke Willmott, said the pandemic had transformed ways of working for the business and as a result the company had updated its property strategy, as well as overall strategy.

“Our people have performed exceptionally over the last two years whilst working flexibly, and largely remotely, from home to support our clients," he said.

"The pandemic has fast-tracked our ways of working and transformed the way we operate. As we look forward Clarke Willmott is fully committed to delivering excellent hybrid working. "

Mr Rosser said Clarke Willmott would combine remote working with an "appealing office environment" to enable staff to work collaboratively in person while being able to "enjoy the culturally important social aspects" of work.

The 15,624 sq ft space at Assembly C has been taken on a pre-let basis, according to the firm.
