Later-living specialist Pegasus has unveiled its latest development in Bath.
The Gloucestershire-based company, which recently secured bank funding to shift its business model into becoming a build to rent developer and operator for seniors, has launched its new development, Bath Leat.
With the first residents having moved into the Riverside and Gardenside apartments in June 2023, the development, for those over 60, comprises 68 one and two-bedroom apartments across three buildings, available for private purchase or rent.
Designed by interior design firm Claude Hooper, the property is set on the banks of the River Avon and has already proved popular with 33% of homes moved into and 30% reserved from its first phased release.

The space takes inspiration from the riverside location of the development, with tones of navy and eau di nil to make the communal areas calm and welcoming.
Carrie Edwards, account director at Claude Hooper said: “We were conscious that people are often moving to a Pegasus home from their larger family homes, and that for many this home represents a new chapter in life. As such, we wanted to show the potential of something new in how we designed the apartment.
“We wanted to keep the interiors light, fresh and contemporary, with furniture featuring clean lines and a nod to classic mid-century style. We were conscious of avoiding a cliched 'retirement' style with chunky furniture and heavily patterned fabrics, as this wouldn't represent the aspirational nature of the purchasers looking to enjoy an active retirement in the vibrant city of Bath.”

Bath Leat features a variety of shared spaces designed to foster social connections, including wellness facilities such as a hobby room, stretch studio, sauna, foot spa, treatment room and two communal lounges. Between the buildings, a series of landscaped gardens welcome local wildlife.
Emily Nesbitt, marketing director at Pegasus comments: "At Pegasus, our customers are predominantly downsizers seeking a hassle-free way of life in retirement. In turn, we want our homes to provide not just a place to live, but a lifestyle. The new show apartment gives customers a taste of the high-specification homes and zestful lifestyle on offer in Britain’s most famous spa town.
"We are passionate about offering our customers choice, with options to buy and rent at Bath Leat, so they can flex their next chapter of life around their individual circumstances and priorities.”
