A º£½ÇÊÓƵ luxury housebuilder has bought up a plot of land on a South Gloucestershire country estate and is planning to build 20 homes.

Elmsley Homes acquired the four-acre site at Eastwood Park Estate, in Falfield near Wotton-under-Edge, from building project company Falfield Securities after a tender process.

The proposed scheme will sit within the 200-acre estate, which is home to a grade II listed Victorian country house and events venue.

The plot of land already has detailed planning consent for the development of private homes.

Property consultancy Carter Jonas acted on behalf of Falfield Securities during the deal.

Steve Morris, partner in Carter Jonas’s Bristol office, said: “We are delighted to have been involved in the disposal of this exciting site.

“It was extremely popular with potential purchasers and the top bids were very close. We selected Elmsley Homes as a preferred bidder and the transaction was completed quickly, just two months after solicitors were first instructed.

“Elmsley Homes has an excellent track record in delivering high-quality homes and the product is a perfect match for this very attractive location.”
