Mr Ghulam said: "We have very much gone for the authentic Turkish look, we specially imported the tiles from abroad as well as the chandeliers.

"As part of giving an authentic dining experience, the charcoal itself has been specially imported from Morocco.

"Konya is an area in Turkey famous for its elegant cuisine. We added gold to the name, in tribute to the Jewellery Quarter. We're very excited to be opening here."

The kitchen will be manned by Chef Akram, an expert in Syrian and Turkish cuisine, and the menu will feature mocktails, starters such as grilled aubergine sesame sauce and mains of sea bass, lamb shish and lamb kofte among others.
