The company said it had grown its headcount by around 50% over the past two years, and 37 of its more than 60 staff would be moving over to its new base by the end of this year from its previous one on Lowman Green in the Devon market town.

Rebuilt following a fire in 1731, Gotham House will provide Devonshire Homes with three floors of office space and meeting rooms.

Bosses at Devonshire Homes said it had made the move with the support of Lloyds Bank.

Angus Cook, managing director at Devonshire Homes, said: “Devonshire Homes has grown rapidly in the last 18 months and so have welcomed many new starters to our team which means we have outgrown our existing office at Lowman Green.

“As a team, we like being based in Tiverton, but we simply need more space. A move to this Grade II listed building ensures that we remain in the town that we have always called home, whilst enjoying more space inside an office with such impressive history.”
